Turner Field is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and is home to the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball.
The ballpark was built across the street from the former home of the Braves, Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, which was demolished in the summer of 1997.
Turner Field was originally known as Centennial Olympic Stadium, as it was built in 1996, as the main venue for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Following the Olympics, Turner Field was converted to a baseball stadium to serve as the home of the Atlanta Braves.
