Target Field is a baseball park located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is home to the Minnesota Twins, the city’s American League Baseball team.
Target Field is the team’s sixth ballpark (third in Minnesota). The Twins moved to Target Field for the 2010 Major League Baseball season after 28 seasons at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
Target field is the first facility built specifically for Baseball’s Twins, who received the certificate of occupancy from the developer in December of 2009.
The first game at Target Field took place on March 27, 2010, with a college baseball game between the University of Minnesota and Louisiana Tech. The Minnesota Twins played 2 preseason games versus the Cardinals on April 2 and 3, and the inaugural MLB regular season game was on April 12, 2010 against the Boston Red Sox.
